Life Saving Innovations
Emergent Solutions, Around the World
In over 60 countries worldwide, the PerSys Medical family of products has been saving lives for 15 years.
PerSys Medical was founded in Houston, Texas in 1988, initially operating under the name Performance Systems. The company provided a variety of marketing services to hi-tech companies attempting to penetrate the American marketplace. During its first ten years of operation, the company served over 100 corporate clients, bringing to market innovative products in a variety of fields including semi-conductors, software, telecommunication, and medicine. In 2003, the company narrowed its focus to the medical segment becoming a distributor for several manufacturing companies in the US and abroad. Most notably, PerSys introduced the Emergency Bandage, often called the “Israeli Bandage”, to the US Military. It has been a mainstay on the battlefield ever since.
In the decade following the introduction of the Emergency Bandage, PerSys centered its focus on Emergency Medicine and began to distribute multiple product lines to military, Law Enforcement, EMS, and Emergency Department personnel. The company began to build its own portfolio of medical devices by acquiring interest in the manufactures of its best-in-class product lines. By 2014, PerSys Medical became a majority stakeholder of Blizzard Protection Systems Ltd., Waismed Medical Ltd., and First Care Products Ltd., which solidified the company's place in the market as well as their global reach.
Headquartered in Houston, Texas, PerSys Medical has a R&D center in Israel, manufacturing facilities in the US, UK, Israel and China, and sales offices around the world. Since its expansion, PerSys Medical has created a direct sales force as well as a distribution network for leading emergency medical products sold in over 60 countries worldwide. The company's major products focus on hemorrhage control, intraosseous and vascular access, Hypothermia treatment, and airway management.

The Emergency Bandage
Based on traditional field 4-inch military Personal Field Dressing, the Emergency Bandage® is designed to treat a variety of wounds, from minor to life threatening. The built-in, patented, Pressure Applicator can apply over 30 pounds of pressure directly to a wound. The Closure Bar, which secures the Wrapping Leader in a simple, fast, and familiar movement, can also be used to exert additional pressure on a wound site.
Other unique features include the Stop & Go release, providing controlled application of the bandage without the risk of unraveling, and the Handle Loop, a fold of Wrapping Leader adjacent to the bandage pad that enables the proper opening and positioning of the bandage pad on the wound site. For self-application, the Handle Loop facilitates correct bandaging – even one-handed. The bandage is double vacuum packed to ensure its integrity and sterility while tear notches opposite each other on the outer packaging enable easy opening.
Blizzard products represent a quanturn leap in the way both civilian and military trauma cases should be treated and Blizzard's unique Reflexcell™ material is incorporated into all Blizzard Survival products in military, medical, emergency preparedness and outdoor applications globally.

The range has expanded to thermal protective products for the military, emergency services, emergency preparedness agencies, disaster relief, as well as the original outdoor market.
